WHO SAYS CABIN FEVER IS A BAD THING?
The Rossland Range Recreation Site is your go-to spot for adventure in the high mountains and rolling hills near Rossland, BC. Best part? It’s totally free! Located around 19 km north of Rossland on Highway 3 (or just 8 km south of the Highway 3 and 3B intersection), you’ll find easy access at the Strawberry Pass Summit parking area. Grab your gear, hit the trails and enjoy one (or many!) of the TWELVE amazing day-use cabins.
12 DAY-USE CABINS
This area is packed with a fun network of trails and a chain of unique, day-use cabins perfect for all ages and families looking to snowshoe, cross-country ski, or dive into some backcountry touring. The cabins are a great destination to warm up, take a break, or enjoy a cozy lunch. Some are just a quick trip from the trailhead, while others offer a more adventurous trek for those up for the challenge. Bonus: dogs are totally welcome on these ungroomed winter trails!
In the summer, the fun continues with hiking, mountain biking, wildlife spotting, dog walks, or even horseback riding along the summer trails. The Kootenay Columbia Trails Society maps will guide you to the best spots around Rossland.
YOU GOTTA CHECK OUT OLD GLORY
Get ready for a Rossland Range classic! This epic trail will take you to the highest summit in the range, where an old white weather station awaits at the top, offering stunning views of the region. The path is narrow and steep in spots with some loose rocks, so keep your eyes peeled and your steps steady.
